Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 9 August 2026

At Happy Tripmate, transparency matters. We want you to know how we sustain our work and how this affects our recommendations.

What Are Affiliate Links?

Some links on this Site are affiliate links. When you click one and make a purchase, booking, or sign-up, we may earn a commission from the merchant or service provider — at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate commissions help us:

  • Keep our content free for readers
  • Continue testing destinations, products, and services we genuinely use
  • Invest in better tools and resources for travellers

Our Editorial Promise

Affiliate relationships do not influence what we recommend.

We only link to services we believe genuinely help travellers. If a better option exists without a commission, the better option wins — every time.

We have not, and will not, accept payment in exchange for biased or positive coverage. Our reviews and recommendations reflect our honest experience and research.

How We Work With Partners

Happy Tripmate participates in affiliate programmes through Travelpayouts, a network that connects publishers with travel brands. Through it we may work with providers across the areas travellers actually spend on:

  • Accommodation
  • Tours, tickets and activities
  • Transport, transfers and car rental
  • Travel eSIMs and connectivity
  • Travel insurance

Programmes we currently link to

  • Saily — travel eSIM data plans

We name a partner only once their links actually appear on the Site — so if a brand isn’t listed above, we aren’t earning from it. This list is updated whenever that changes.

How to Identify Affiliate Links

Where an article contains an affiliate link, we say so in the article itself, next to the link. By publishing this disclosure, we also comply with FTC guidelines and EU consumer protection rules.

Whenever you click one of our outbound recommendations to a booking platform or product, you can safely assume an affiliate relationship may exist.

Your Cost: Zero

Using an affiliate link costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the same whether you click through our link or go directly to the merchant. The commission comes from the merchant’s marketing budget, not your wallet.

Thank you for supporting independent travel content. It’s because of readers like you that we can keep writing.
